I was born and raised in Northern VA, but moved to Virginia Beach with my kids and two dogs in 2018. I have never felt more at home than I do right now.

My enneagram type is a tie between 9 and 6 and if that doesn’t sum it up for you, I don’t know what will. I’ve spent a good portion of my life feeling powerless and being what others wanted me to be. Instead of allowing them to determine my worth, I took the power back and decided to live my life for me. THIS is self love and I continue to work on it every day.

Being true to yourself is liberating and it should be celebrated!

My family got some family portraits on our vacation in Norfolk last week...

Let me tell you, we had a bubble machine on the beach, it rained, we had to change wardrobe because the kids were soaked but at the end of our session Emmett says, "That was really cool!"

The interaction we had during this was more fun than stress and Lee Pettigrew Photography made us all feel super comfortable the whole time which is hard for my kids when they see a camera

Fast forward to today... after receiving the gallery I couldn't be more happy and impressed by Lee's passion and talent for her art. I want to go back to Virginia every summer just so we can book with her again!!

Lee is the best. As a photographer and a person. I have used her on a few different occasions and have always been more than pleased. Just look at her work... it is AMAZING. She also has a great client closet if your interested! She makes you feel very comfortable and if your looking into birth photography... I DIDNT EVEN KNOW SHE WAS THERE. After I got the pictures back, I was just thinking, "wow I don't even know how one person can get all these angles and me not even realize they were there". She captured it all and more. I am so thankful for all our sessions together. I would highly recommend.

Lee is an incredible artist and human!! I can not recommend her enough for birth and newborn photography. I kept thinking she couldn’t be getting anything good throughout my labor, it was dark and I was not feeling cute! But when I got the pictures back they were so beautiful; I’m so glad I decided to have her there to capture those moments.
